You should probably listen to them even if you don’t want to. It’s probably hard because you might like the guy but a boy who is 20 should know better and date someone his own age. You experience so much between the age of 16 and 20. You deserve someone your own age so you can go through the same things together, not some 20 year old who might leave you for some college girl.
It might be a little harsh but you’re only 16 and from my own experience 20 year olds just suck (I dated one when I was your age) :)

You wait it out. You put that blade down and you jump on your computer and you jump on this blog and you talk to me. You tell me all your fears, hopes, hobbies, anything. Ending your life is not worth it. In 5 years you won’t feel like this. I know that seems like forever but it will pass by so fast you won’t even know how you got there.
You remember that even though it might suck right now I am there for you as are so many others that you probably don’t even know about. People in your life.
